Vaginal Rejuvenation
Vaginal rejuvenation is a broad term for vaginal corrective treatments. These procedures can be done for cosmetic reasons or to solve age-related problems, such as lack of vaginal tightness and urinary incontinence. Energy-based treatments provide a nonsurgical option for vaginal rejuvenation.
Vaginal lightening is a procedure that involves the use of topical creams, chemical peels, or laser treatments with the purpose of lightening the skin around the bikini area.
The procedure does not in any way involve the internal vaginal canal.
In laser vaginal rejuvenation procedure, the doctor will carefully and gently insert a small probe into the vagina. As the probe is pulled back slowly, a laser beam makes tiny holes in the vaginal lining to stimulate formation of new blood circulations and tissue growth in the vaginal walls.
The procedure is painless, and would usually takes around 10 minutes.
A laser therapy is used for the treatment of mild and moderate stress urinary incontinence. The procedure uses a non-ablative (heating up the underlying skin tissue without harming the surface) photothermal equipment to stimulate production of collagen. This results in shrinking and tightening of vaginal mucosa tissue and the muscles lining the pelvic areas, subsequently improving support to the bladder.
